Looking Back…and Ahead
I think we can all agree 2020 has been a unique year – and it’s not even over yet. We’ve all had to rethink every aspect of our personal and professional lives and find new ways to work and socialize.
I’m proud to say we’ve been able to successfully navigate the storm. Despite COVID-related restrictions and their impact on the U.S. and global economies, we’re maintaining positive momentum, keeping our supply chains intact and continuing to meet customers’ needs.
That’s due to the incredible dedication, commitment and collaborative spirit of our internal teams and channel partners who kept our operations moving smoothly in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
In 2020, we unveiled our family of COVID-related intelligent surveillance solutions. We launched the latest and most technology-intense version of our Wisenet SoC while continuing our transition to a fully NDAA-compliant product line. We’ve seen our technologies deliver practical results for customers in diverse applications across many markets.
We’ve accomplished all this without the benefit of traditional sales and marketing engagements like face-to-face customer meetings or industry trade shows, which have always been a staple of our industry.
Once these shows, and all public gatherings, were canceled we successfully adapted by finding creative virtual options for interacting with customers and maintaining our market visibility. That adaptive mentality is spreading across the events industry as organizers reinvent shows to stay relevant in our new business environment.
As we head into 2021, I’m encouraging our company to view the current situation as an opportunity to reevaluate and potentially improve every aspect of our business: how, and where, we work; and how we communicate. I encourage our partners and customers to do the same.
Working together, we’ll all emerge stronger, more united and more successful.
